Compassion Med International (CMI) was first founded in 2002 to help support a free clinic in a gypsy village in Romania with medical staffing. Over the last 20 years, CMI has supported short-term health outreaches with volunteers, medical equipment and much-needed medications to clinics in a variety of locations. The locations include clinics in the US, Ukraine, Central America, Romania, West Bank of Israel and Sierra Leone. We provide compassionate healthcare around the world. In 2021-22, due to the COVID Pandemic, our outreach and short-term medical missions were limited due to travel restrictions. In 2022 we provided medical support in Ukraine for displaced war refugees. During the pandemic, we supported the work of the SON Mobile Health Clinic. ( https://mobilehealthclinic.web.unc.edu/ ) It was highlighted for staying open and providing free care to those accessing crisis ministries and food pantries.
